Pic de Caramantran

The forecast a rain in the afternoon so we start a day a half an our earlier. Earlier means colder though and our track is higher in mountains as well – it starts near the col Agnel at 2700m above see level. The first time in Queyras we decide to have warmer clouds.

We have another 450m to climb to the summit and the track is rated as easy one in our guidebook. It does not look as such from the bottom – the slope covered with loose stones up to the pass. Still the path is not steep and has no surprises.

Daugavgriva

Celebrating Latvian Independence day on Bullusala (bull’s island) near the creek of the largest Latvian river Daugava. The event organized by our friend Linda was participated by large group of visitors from Estonia. We explored the remains of a century old Daugavgriva stronghold and walked 12km from end to end of the Bullusala. Perfect sunny weather 🙂

Page Pyrenees map now contains a map with markers to all of our Pyrenees hikes (with a list of them below).
Wow – have we really done this? 🙂
Is this coincidence that Vielha (the place we plan to stay next time) is right in the center of the map?
